Local Aurora Knowledge

A reputable deck builder in the Town of Aurora will be familiar with the necessary municipal permits and inspections mandatory for decks. Our skilled deck contractors know Aurora's building codes, setback requirements, and permit processes inside out.

Certified Team With Proven Results

Our skilled team has years of experience building decks across the local community. We take great pride in delivering an amazing job for happy customers on every site.

Transparent Communication

Always insist on a formal contract that includes a detailed material list, a payment schedule tied to milestones, and clear start/end dates. We provide this on every project.

Step 1: Free Consultation and Custom Design Planning

We visit your property, assess the space, and discuss your vision. Our initial design conversation turns your ideas into a deck design with a personalized design direction that reflects your personal style and improves the overall aesthetic of your home.

This deck build takes into account the layout of the yard, sunlight exposure, and the homeowner's lifestyle, ensuring that the end result is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Step 2: Permit Handling and Project Scheduling

Decks over 108 sq. ft. or 2 ft above grade require a building permit. We manage approvals, code compliance, and zoning checks end-to-end.

We also coordinate Ontario One Call for underground utility locates before any digging to keep your project on schedule.

Step 3: Professional Installation With Quality Materials

Aurora requires two mandatory inspections: one before backfilling foundations (piers) and one upon completion. Construction drawings must include a framing plan, elevation, and section, and we handle inspection notices at every stage.

Our professional installation uses the right decking material for the project. Every board, railing, and fastener meets our quality standards.

Step 4: Final Inspection and Warranty Coverage

We schedule the final inspection with the Town of Aurora and walk you through your complete deck. Your new deck comes with both material warranties and workmanship protection.

A standard deposit for construction projects is typically 10%-30%, with payment tied to project milestones. The final build payment happens only after you're satisfied with the results.

Composite Decking

Composite decking is a popular choice for homeowners who want a composite deck with low maintenance and durability, as it does not warp, rot, or fade like traditional wood decking. We install Trex, TimberTech, and other premium brands.

Made from wood fibers and recycled plastic, composite resists fading, staining, and scratching, and lasts 25–30 years. A composite or PVC surface is popular in Aurora for resisting moisture without annual staining.

Natural Wood Decks

Natural wood and wooden decks are a classic choice, often built with pressure-treated lumber, cedar wood, or cedar decking for homeowners who prefer traditional wooden decking.

Western Red Cedar is naturally resistant to rot and insects, but requires regular sealing. The natural beauty of cedar makes it a favorite for homeowners who appreciate traditional aesthetics.

Pressure-treated lumber is cost-effective but requires high maintenance to prevent warping in the local climate. Pressure-treated wood remains incredibly durable when properly maintained.

PVC Decking

Vinyl decks are made from synthetic plastic and are known for being low-maintenance, although they may not be as durable as wood or composite options. PVC decking works well for homeowners who prioritize easy care and save time on maintenance.

Custom Railings and Safety Features

We install aluminum, glass, cable, and wood railings to match your deck design and style. Hiring professional deck contractors ensures compliance with local building codes and regulations, which is crucial for safety and legality.

Multi-Level and Wraparound Deck Designs

Multi-level decks create distinct zones for cooking, lounging, and relaxation. Wraparound and pool decks add room to host gatherings and family activities, making them a versatile addition to any home.

Deck Repair and Restoration Services

We restore an old deck or refresh an existing deck with new boards, secure railings, and fresh sealing. Deck repairs can extend the life of your outdoor space by years.

Increased Home Value and Curb Appeal

A professionally built deck increases property value and curb appeal, with an expected return on investment around 70–80% — making your home more attractive to potential buyers.

Additional Outdoor Spaces for Entertaining

Whether you want to host gatherings or enjoy quiet family dinners outside, a brand new deck expands your usable space.

Professional Quality That Withstands Ontario Winters

In Aurora, uncovered decks must not exceed three meters above grade and must adhere to specific setback requirements from property lines as outlined in the local zoning by-laws. Aurora has specific setback requirements for decks: typically 4.5m from the front lot line, 3.8m from the rear, and 3m from the exterior side. We build to these specifications and beyond.

Hassle-Free Project Management and Permits

When hiring a deck builder or deck contractor in Aurora, you should prioritize local zoning compliance, weather-resistant material selection, and verified credentials to protect your investment. We handle planning, permits, and construction so you can focus on choosing your deck design.

Long-Term Durability With Minimal Maintenance

Low-maintenance options like composite or PVC decking are popular in Aurora for resisting moisture and fading without annual staining.
